If you use email client(Outlook, Thunderbird etc) to reach your email then this is a must need tool for you. Each day I get over 10 spam email from different email with some winning notification. Like always I search over net to find a free alternative for it and hopefully found one. Spamihilator is a great tool to protect yourself from this kind of abusive email.

Description: Spamihilator works between your E-Mail client and the Internet and examines every incoming E-Mail. Useless spam mails (Junk) will be filtered out. This process runs completely in the background.

Features:-

1. Learning Filter: It calculates a certain Spam-Probability for every E-Mail. You can train this filter! So it will know your messages even better than you. Hence the recognition rate will continuously increase.

2. Word-Filter : It searches messages for known keywords to decide if it is spam or not. User-defined words and regular expression can be added.

3. Link Filter: It searches incoming messages for links to spam websites.

4. Blacklist Filter: It able to filter email using predefine blacklist.

5. DCC Filter: It connects with the DCC Network to recognize unsolicited bulk mail. The emails are compared with emails received by others and if a lot of other people received the same, or a very similar, email then it gets marked as spam.

6. Attachment Filter: It marks an email as spam if it has an attachment who’s file type is in the blocked list.
