West Bengal government recently increase reservation in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category from seven percent to 17 percent by introducing a ‘more backward’ classification to benefit the Muslim communities.
West Bengal government recently increase reservation in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category from seven percent to 17 percent by introducing a ‘more backward’ classification to benefit the Muslim communities.
There are total 108 communities from all religions are included in the OBC category, out of which 53 are Muslim communities while 45 are from Hindu communities, 9 are from Buddhist and another one from Jain community.
Here is a list of 53 Muslim communities, those are eligible to apply for OBC certificates.

I AM GOING TO O.B.C
Muslims believe that God is one and incomparable and the purpose of existence is to worship God. Most Muslims belong to one of two denominations; with 80-90% being Sunni and 10-20% being Shia in the whole world.
But I have a question, Muslim believes in brotherhood and all people are same in front of Islam. Only in two division Muslim can be categorize, 80-90% being Sunni and 10-20% being Shia. But our WEST BENGAL GOVERNMENT had divided Muslims into 53 division. WEST BENGAL GOVERNMENT could make the whole Muslim community as OBC (Other Backward Classes), but WEST BENGAL GOVERNMENT have not done that. WEST BENGAL GOVERNMENT divided Muslims into 53 groups and then declared them as OBC. Is this the SECOND DIVIDE AND RULE POLICY?
