Ever wonder, how many file type (zip, jpg, gif, exe, psd etc.) are there in a folder and how much space it obtain or how many files are there of a type? If you have such query in your mind and willing to get a fast and easy solution then I suggest you to use Folder Explorer, show nearly everything you desired to know about a folder.
Folder Explorer can be operated in two ways – either drop a folder in its working window or run it via context menu (right click on a folder).

Click on the top left button to register in the context menu. Registering will add ‘Run Folder Explorer’ to the menu. If registered, clicking on this button will unregister it.

Once you drop a folder in its active window, Folder Explorer will present file types by number and size in front of you. Selecting a file type will list all files of that type by name, creation and modifying date, attributes and size in bottom half of active window. Double clicking on any file type will list files of all types.
Files can be filtered by main attributes. If ‘All’ is selected, checked attribute boxes will exclude that attribute from the search and checked attribute boxes will include that attribute in the search while ‘All’ is not selected. Even more, listings can be sorted by clicking on the headers.
Additionally, Folder Explorer allow user to copy file names and optionally details to clipboard through right click menu of a folder. Double clicking on a file will run or open it when possible.

Two more things I like about Folder Explorer – one is, whenever you mouse over in an item, a hint will shown along the bottom bar and another is, unless you minimize it, it will always on top; that come very handy when you just working on Folder Explorer, making drag and drop process easy.
Remember, Folder Explorer is portable and free. So, why not you try it now!
