Give Gmail a CRM(Customer relationship management) capability with Rapportive
If you are in PR industry then you may always want to know more about your email sender before going to interact with the sender. That not only help you to show your professionalism but also give you a chance to create a better presentation. Most of us this day use Gmail, due to its simple and professional interface with so much more capability which come absolutely free. Now using Rapportive plugin you can give Gmail a CRM capability.
After installing the plugin in your browser ( currently support only Firefox & Chrome), whenever you open a email, the right-hand will display information about the sender. In this way you can easily figure out if you actually know the sender or not, and also help you to choice whether or not the industry he is employed in, has anything to do with yours.
However, this is a social plugin and need your help to build their database. When you first use this plugin it will ask you some details about you and that the way the database build up. There may be other ways that they trying to build the database but currently they have few data and that’s why you may not get CRM details each time.
However, this is a must have plugin after all something is better than nothing.
