Airtel done it again. The Indian telecom giant recently introduced ‘Airtel Express’, a battery operated cars in Mumbai after introducing it in Chennai in 2005. This car help physically challenged and senior citizens to navigate within a railway station and transport them to their trains. This service currently available in Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Mumbai Central stations, and can accommodate 3 persons per trip.

On launching the Airtel cart, Mr. Ramesh Menon, CEO, Mobility, Bharti Airtel Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa said,”We at Airtel have always believed in presenting our customers with unique services that ease their lives and Airtel Express is one such initiative in this direction. We hope this initiative brings a smile to all the physically challenged, senior citizens or any passenger who has difficulty in walking long distances.”
