I Am RobbedAre you social holic? Are you love to update what you doing on social media? Now you need to think twice because your update can be monitored by criminals and that criminal may be living among your listed friends who allowed to see your updates. Your update just giving your enemy(possible harmful person) a chance to monitor your activity without spending too much manpower.

Recently A group of Venezuelan students were arrested by local police for various theft charges. They mainly use social media to monitor their victim. Social media like Facebook and Twitter is wonderful place to learn more about someone’s personal life and social status.

They followed social updates, gather information about victim’s financial status and analyzed pictures from the victim’s profile to gain necessary information about their location, house arrangement and time table. After gaining all the necessary data,they rob victim’s house when the victim was away.

“They observe the families’ movements, they study the residencies — the comings and goings, the security measures,” said Wilmer Flores Trosel, director of the CICPC, a national investigation agency in Venezuela.

  2. I don’t mind people updating me on their life using social media. What I can’t stand are the third party updates! I don’t care if someone just got a new cow on Farmville or just robbed a bank in MobWars.
