Idea to read, write, update, delete and backup your SIM card contacts
Two day earlier my SIM card goes useless and all credit goes to Aircel awful technology. I lost all my contacts and other details. I actually not a good backup lover in my small needs however I backup my database 2 times per day. However, after the treatment I get from Aircel I started to backup my contracts from my other two mobiles. Though getting backup from SIM card is actually not simple unless you use any specific tool. Usually those tool cost you some money but I have enough fortune, I found a good freeware alternative of those budget destroyers tool.
MonoSim is a very interesting tool which let you backup all essential data from your SIM card. You can read, write, update, delete and backup your SIM card contacts. Additionally It also allow you to save your contacts in a text file. All you need to have a standard PCSC smartcard reader like towitoko, acs, athena, blutronics, etc.

You need two addition tools to make it work properly one is MONO Framework 1.2.4 or higher and another is GTK# 2.8.3 or higher.
Download Monosim (Windows only, for other supported OS visit the home page)
Download MONO Framework 1.2.4 or higher
Do you have any alternative software information or any other thing to share on it, then please use comment form. We always love to hear from you.

Izzat, that’s most useful method to me. I actually love offline backup, may be that’s why I still use notebook and pen. It help me to remember me as I have a tendency to forget things( a gift given by Typhoid).
