As we all knew, Windows by default don’t support third party theme. Windows 7 is no difference. If we need to use third party theme then we should patch following 3 files.

1. uxtheme.dll
2. themeui.dll
3. themeservice.dll

Fortunately, we don’t need to be a techie to patch it. There is a software which can easily do this job for us.

Just download the package and follow onscreen instructions. After installing it, you need to restart your system.

After completing all task, you need to copy the .theme file and its theme folder to “%windir%ResourcesThemes” folder (where %windir% means “Windows” directory present in system drive where Windows 7 is installed. Most probably C: drive). Now double-click on .theme file and it’ll apply the theme or you can apply it using Desktop Personalization window.
