Restrict deleting or renaming of a file using this simple tool
Usually we fear to handover our PC to others due to our file security. May be a newbie can accidentally delete or intentionally rename a file which may mess your files. Though there is different way to recover all those file or check what file changed but for that you need to be a techie.
Anyway you can recover those deleted files using recovery software. Earlier we also review some file protecting software like Cryptor encrypting utility or Androsa FileProtector etc. However, all those utilities need some manual work and can’t block deleting globally. However, you can block a whole drive but that will make those file inaccessible till you don’t remove the restriction.

Prevent is rather easy tool which will block deleting and renaming globally. Additionally it also can block cut, copy, paste, move etc.

- Prevents renaming
- Disables Task Manager’s End Process button. Also it doesn’t allow you to right click on process name and click on end process. It also grays out the context menu items, disable Ctrl+C, Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V and/or stops the process.
After installing the program just run it and then set the hotkey (default Ctrl+P) to stop this application. Other hotkeys are Win+F8 kills Pre_1 (stop cut, copy, paste, delete etc.) and Win+F9 kills Pre_2 ( grays out context menu items and disable task manager button).
