I was searching inside the phone for WLAN MAC address because the WLAN I want to connect requires registering the MAC address of the wireless adaptor to the system. Thank you for the secret code. I wonder, can’t I find it by searching the menus of the phone without typing this secret code? Also is this code written in the user’s manual of the phone?

Hi again, the Download manager of N96 most of the time cannot resume the interrupted downloads and start from the beginning to download the file when I select “Resume download” from the menu. But rarely it can resume. Why does it do that? This cause very difficulties when I want to download about ~400 MB files with WLAN.

when i turn on my nokia n96 it says lock code but my brother stuffed around with it and changed it and he has forgot what it is. How can i by pass it to change it back to factory default settings?
The problem is, I can’t share the solve because any one can use it wrong way. I think you should go to Nokia Care with your mobile document and they will do the rest.
hiya, ive borrowed my nokia n96 of my mate and went to put a lock code on it. However i changeed it from the default of 12345, but only changed it twice afta that and now it is not accepting any of the 2 combinations i changed it to orr the default code either.
I dont want to master reset the phone or anything as it is not mine and my mate will loose everything of it. I dont know what to do!

Arefat thanks for your great information about n96.my problem with my n96 is the ringtone volume so low when someone called me. i tryed to put max volume for the ring tone.however,steel the same thing happen everytime when someone calles me.Also,i red your instructions about how to reset in factory mode and none of the options works for me. can you help me pleas. thank you

Here is your solution:-
To format the phone, you can do this by going to file mgr. > E: mass memory > options > format mass memory. Another way is to format the phone memory, in standby mode enter *#7370# then the security code (default is 12345). *NOTE* formating the phone memory will remove ALL personal data.
Sorry, that is the only way I knew about and that is the only instruction Nokia provide in their guide. You can use Nokia PC suite to back up your data and I heard you can format memory too. I never experiment it but you can take a chance with it. Another thing if you update the firmware, it will reset everything. Just download Nokia fimware updater. Please let me know if this help you.
