Speed Up iPhone and iPod Touch syncing on iTunes with BackOff
Usually iPhone and iPod Touch syncing on iTunes take longer time when you have large number of data because in both Windows and Mac system iTunes have a feature which auto backup all data stored on iPhone and iPod Touch before sync. So, it will be good idea to stop that feature to speed up the syncing process.
BackOff just help you to do this without much technical knowledge. It turns off that auto backup feature of iTunes.
This utility is compatible with both Windows (XP, Vista, 7) & Mac OSX (Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard) and support iPhone V1, 3G, 3G S & iPod Touch V1, V2 and V3.

BackOff is just an app that turns on a hidden preference in Mac OS X. Secrets, the Terminal method and TinkerTool do the exact same thing in the exact same way.
You are welcome. I’m not a Mac user so I don’t know much about Mac. But I believe this tool is still helpful in both environment as it make average user life much easy.

I suppose this is not applicable to Ipod Nano. But quite frankly, I don’t like synching Ipod with Itunes, it’s time consuming.

got the new n900 and man it rocks ,you can install any os in it -I got maemo right now but will install ubuntu karmic somtime later……do you have any suggestions bout maemo customization?
