Bounce rate is a thing all webmaster should aware off. It decides how quality page you serve to your visitor. First we have to know what is bounce rate. According to Wikipedia – It essentially represents the percentage of initial visitors to a site who “bounce” away to a different site, rather than continue on to other pages within the same site.

Who suffer most?

The blogger who write about software often get high bounce rate. It is because they often link to the download page which situated on other site. This technique will really help them lots.

Importance of Inbound Link?

That means linking to your own page will reduce your bounce rate. Wikipedia will be good example which have lot of inbound link. When you put an inbound link that actually vote for the link. The more vote it get, the more chance to get good page rank.

What is good practice?

It is good practice to target relative keyword of your linked page. If you try to build inbound link without targeting the keyword it became useless to your visitors. Suppose you have a page related to ‘making breakfast’ and you link it with the keyword ’shop’. Is it related? So use your inelegance label when you practicing inbound link.

Is there any plugin available for it on Wordpress?

Yes! There is a plugin available on Wordpress named SEO Smart Links. It automatically links pages with matching phrase of your page title. You can use to link on keyword related to category or label. However I don’t recommend using it to link category or label. It reduces your page download speed. Nevertheless it only provide link when it found matching keyword or phrase related to article title. So if you want to build good inbound links then it will be good practice to do it manually.

Yes! This technique help me lot. Earlier I don’t concern about bounce rate, that why I never tried to control it. However the story is different now.
