Blackle created on 2007 to save energy. It’s actually a search engine which is powered by Google  search engine. The main purpose of this site is to save energy by making the site black. Blackle saves energy because the screen is predominantly black. “Image displayed is primarily a function of the user’s color settings and desktop graphics, as well as the color and size of open application windows; a given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen.” Roberson et al, 2002 .

Not only this it’s also save our eyes. But in spite of that we yet not use this search engine lot. I request everyone to use this site and save some energy. Please set it as home page; so that you able to save some energy when you first open your browser. Every bit count.
