Yandex Replace Google In Firefox Russian
It’s seems that FireFox going to be more regional. At least there resent decision shows us that. By default we always get Google in there home page when we open the browser (if there is no tab saved or you not change the home page) as search engine. But now the things are changing. FireFox introducing Yandex as default search engine and also as home page for its Russian version. Now the default search provider for the Russian version of Firefox 3.1 (due in a matter of weeks), the move is a big win for Yandex, and a loss for Google in the Russian market.
Harvey Anderson, Mozilla General Counsel, wrote that they research lot on it and “All this activity (Research) led us to the conclusion that our Russian users really wanted direct access to the Yandex search services in official Firefox RU builds. As a result, we’re planning on setting Yandex as the default search provider for the Firefox 3.1 Russian locale builds”.
So it’s quite clear that there are little bit of mess between this two (Google and Firefox) giant. Google Crome makes the crack between this profits making partnership. Let’s see what going to be happen further.
